Hi! I am Carol McElroy and I began sewing at the age of 10. I grew up in a military family and I spent a lot of time at my mom’s sewing machine. I had a wonderful career working for the United States Government as a federal employee, and I am now retired and live in Georgia with my husband, Alan. We have three grown daughters, each married to an amazing man, and six grandchildren!
Sewing has always provided me comfort and made me feel happy. My happy place has been a dining room table, a corner in a bedroom, even a desk in a hotel room! Now that we are empty-nesters, I am very fortunate to have taken over TWO bedrooms that I have filled with all my favorite things. Completing a project always fills me with a sense of accomplishment and pride, especially if it came out of my unfinished projects pile! I really want to teach others this amazing skill and help them discover if they can find their happy place.
